To make our website as informative as possible, we are including some of the questions posed to us. It's a bit like the small print, only bigger. If there's anything we haven't covered, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Q1. What is Indulgence Divine?
Indulgence Divine is a boutique accommodation in Malta situated right in the middle of a living city that is actually more like a small town. Indulgence Divine is for those who are intrigued by history and who lust after design, for those who appreciate Murano glass and good wine. It is also perfect as a Valentines escape.
Q2. What isn't it?
Indulgence Divine is not a hotel. Although we'd like to think it's as sumptuous as the best of hotels, glacial perfection is not what we're after. The accommodation has got character in abundance and resides within a 16th century building with all the challenges that such an abode presents. Indulgence Divine is not ideal for those who would rather sit around a swimming pool than lose themselves in the winding roads of a legendary maritime city.
Q3. What are Indulgence Divine's Eco-Credentials?
While de-stressing in the beautiful surroundings of this holiday let you'll be glad to hear that sustainability was part and parcel of our eco design. Insulation and ventilation were introduced to reduce the carbon footprint whilst provision was made to harvest and re-use rainwater. We actively encourage our guests to follow suit by supporting independent local shops and to be conscious of the importance of saving water and energy.
Q4. Do you provide airport transfers?
At the start of your stay, for a fee of Euro 18, we can send a driver to meet you at the airport and take you to Indulgence Divine. This means you won't have to wait for a taxi and your driver knows the way to the house and won't get lost. You need to book this at booking stage.
Q5. Does Indulgence Divine have air conditioning?
Yes. Air conditioning is on a pay-per-use (card meter) system. Euro 5.00 value cards are available for you to purchase at the house. Extra insulation in the roof and double glazed windows have been fitted so as to minimise energy consumption. The A/C also includes heat mode.
Q6. Why do you require a minimum stay of 3 nights?
The expenses involved in making sure you have an excellent stay would increase the rates considerably, were we to accept shorter stays. However, we do sometimes have special offers for shorter stays so look out for them on our booking system.
Q7. Can you cater for a third guest?
Indulgence Divine is meant for the enjoyment of a maximum of two adults who cherish each other enough to appreciate sleeping side by side on a king size bed. We won't spoil that picture however much you protest.
Q8. When are payments due & what is your Cancellation Policy?
A booking deposit of 30% of the payment for your stay is payable by PayPal through our online booking system at the moment of booking. The balance of the booking cost must be received by us no later than 1 month before your arrival date, together with an additional €149 breakage deposit (returnable). In case guests cancel their booking, no refund shall be made of moneys paid. It is recommended that a suitable travel insurance is purchased by the Holidaymaker to cover such a circumstance. Should the holidaymaker have any problem or cause for complaint during their stay, it is essential that he/she contact us immediately to give us the chance to resolve it.
Q9. How frequently are towels and bed linen changed?
Our housekeeper visits once per week to clean the bathroom and kitchen and to change the bed linen. Two sets of bath and hand towels are provided. You will also find extra towels in the chest of drawers should you require them - there is a minimal token charge for each extra towel (€1) so as to encourage re-use of towels as part of an environmental conservation programme.
Q10. Is there an age limit?
As long as guests are older than 21, there are no age limits. For those who have mobility issues, please be aware that Indulgence Divine is on two levels; a 1st and 2nd floor (2nd and 3rd floor - American version). There are no lifts and stone stairs can be uneven.
Q11. How far is Birgu/Vittoriosa from Valletta and the airport?
Very close. Valletta is a mere 12 minutes away by car (4.4m) or about 10 minutes of gorgeous views of the Grand Harbour by water taxi or ferry. It takes 14 minutes by car from Malta International Airport to Indulgence Divine (4.7m). There is also a regular bus service from Vittoriosa to Valletta. On-street public parking is available close to Indulgence Divine.
Q12. What does Birgu/Vittoriosa offer?
Vittoriosa is also known as Birgu and as the older of the Three Cities or Cottonera area. Please refer to our location page for location information.

A Maltese house of character
Old Maltese stone houses are full of character and staying in one can be a lovely experience as long as you are prepared for it. The character is in a place's 'imperfections', the irregularly sized stairs, the battered stones, as well as in the period features such as the high ceilings, the wooden beams and the architectural flourishes. The beauty is also in its lived in feel. You also need to be aware that certain compromises are in order with the refurbishment of a listed building. If uniformity and the perfect temperature are vital to you, this might not be the right option.
Cleaning charge: €60
Reservation: Only 30% of the cost of your stay is requested when booking. The rest of your payment is required a month before the start of your stay.
